| At the seventh Amateur Martial Arts International Open Karate Championships on 26th-27th February our own Sensei Paul Grimsey won a hat trick of medals for ESKA. This year's event saw a total of 720 adult and junior competitors from 17 different countries come together at the Harvey Hadden International Sports Centre in Nottingham to compete across all the usual events including Weapons Kata. Paul picked up two silver medals in the individual Kata and Weapons Kata competitions and a bronze in the Team Kata along with Sensei's John Gillespie and Paul Raymond. A detailed write up of the event appears in July's Martial Arts Illustrated - Britain's No1 Martial Arts Magazine (Martial Arts Illustrated). |
